The DIVA Center Corner of Olive & Broadway

The Eugene Celebration Film Festival offers a mix of short and feature films that range from the hilarious to the sublime. This year, the Film Festival will be hosted entirely at DIVA, right in the heart of the Celebration footprint.
Any film artists that wish to submit their work for consideration may send it to: ECFF, PO Box 11647 Eugene, OR 97440 or drop it off at 124 W Broadway. Films for consideration must be received by August 15.
NOTE: Most films would be rated PG:13 or R for subject matter, language
Electric Apricot — Quest for Festeroo/National Lampoon: Les Claypool, bassist extraordinaire, wrote and directed this mockumentary that does unto the jam band scene what Spinal Tap did to the big hair scene. Les Claypool, Bob Weir, South Parks, Trey Parker, and Seth Green!
1:00 p.m. — Experimental
- Jaskar's Zeitgeist — Tobias Katz, New Mexico. A magical mystical film Mr. Katz has two films in this year's fest and moves to our area soon! Yippee!
- Midsummer Dream — Michele Castagnetti,New York. A dreamy film that must be seen again and again! Pure magic!!
- Third Eye — Kevin Gillooly, Arizona. A trip through the mind.
1:30 p.m. — Narrative: (bring hankies)
- Blue Angel — Andrew Michael Warnecke, Milwaukie, OR. Tenderly presented look at the trauma of sexual abuse. Stunning film!
- The Note — Hank Sisk, Cottage Grove, OR. Heart wrenching tale of a family crushed by the loss of a child to cancer and the faith that pulls them through.

7:00 p.m. — Eugene International Film Festival Presents: The Garage: Feature Film. The Garage, is a coming of age story of a young man compelled to follow the path that beckons him.
1:00 p.m. — Docs/Shorts
- Vanishing Voices: The Story of Alex Seowtewa — Tobias Katz, New Mexico. Documentary. Zuni Pueblo artist painting life sized Spiritual Dancers inside 400 year old church.
- Star Wars: Nightshade — Michael Maruska, Eugene. Sci-fi Adventure, next installment of the Star Wars franchise.
2:00 p.m. — 2008 open lens: DIVA'S annual film fest showcasing talented new film-makers.

4:00 p.m. — Squeegee Bandit: Meet Starfish, a Maori window washer working the mean streets of Auckland, New Zealand. Director, Mr. Lau takes the film from great to brilliant it bursts into full blossom, opening up to a story that is universal—it's everyone's story. WOW! Don't miss this one.
We are privileged to welcome Mr. Lau as a new resident to our area. He will be available after the film for a Q & A session.
